Metal bands have been doing that stuff for years. Pretty much every 80’s metal band did it to some degree. And before anyone gets all offended, you have to remember that metal has always, napologetically, been at least partly about the show. If you called them on it, they'd probably just be like "well, duh." One or two of the stacks are always real (you’ve got to have an amp), but everything else is an empty speaker-less cabinet, or a prop like what is shown in the photo. That many amplifiers going at once would be, at best, unnecessary and would probably sound really bad.
